Bio

Mark Nelson is an accomplished attorney and a partner at the Salt Lake City law firm of Nelson, Taylor & Associates. Attorney Nelson has been practicing law for more than 20 years and uses his vast experience in family law to aggressively represent his clients. He serves the greater Salt Lake area—including Salt Lake County, Utah County, Davis County, Weber County, Summit County, and Tooele County—helping individuals and families with matters in all aspects of family law, guardianship and conservatorship cases, estate planning, personal injury, criminal defense, and more.

A native of Provo, Attorney Nelson is a Thunderbird, having graduated from Timpview High School before earning his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. Attorney Nelson then graduated cum laude from Seattle University School of Law. He was admitted to state and federal courts throughout Utah in 1998 and is a member of the Utah State Bar and the American Bar Association. He is active in both organizations, serving in their Family Law and Probate and Estate Planning sections. Attorney Nelson was also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States in 2002.

When Attorney Nelson is not at the office, he enjoys being outdoors, hiking, camping, and fishing. He also is a Utah Jazz fan and enjoys attending games. Attorney Nelson enjoys spending time with his family and traveling to new places.
